So our beater CR-V’s wheels are pretty badly worn from 9 years in the rust belt and it now it needs tires too I’m trying to find some cheap wheels that fit and dont look silly. The rims are really all thats holding it back from looking clean. A quick and bad photoshop to see but I think these may do. $100 for the set so hard to argue. What do you think? Before pics below.

I like it! Especially that $100 price!

Right? $100 bucks.. I missed out on the exact wheels my cr-v came with that were in perfect shape for $100 about 6 months ago. Would have been a no brainer to replace them. I’ve just been a little reluctant to slap something on there that will look silly but if I keep it in the brand family and same size it should look close to factory.

I’m assuming they fit, is that right? Nothing funky with offset etc?

If they fit I would jump on this.

Great deal if wheels are ok. If you are in rust country, inspect the bead area for corrosion. That isn’t a deal killer but it does mean that someone will need to clean them up with a grinder before mounting. Also make sure they roll true. on the pavement.

Cheep wheel and he’s even giving me his nuts?! I’d say the guy was a real gentleman.

I like this. Period correct, too. It’s also reminiscent of the EX-L trim wheels of your model year CR-V. If you can, try to switch out the center wheel caps to Honda ones just because. I want to do something like this for my 2013 CR-V, I’m looking towards rims from a same year TL, TSX, ILX, or something.

Looks like its a 10 mm difference on offset. I can live with that it has some room for extra poke. All the other specs are perfect.

Honestly, I wouldn’t notice that those weren’t factory wheels.

TSX wheels are further out? Less than 1/2 inch.

Doooooooo it. If you’re feeling really frisky, swap the caliper centers for the H.

We bailed on rust country. Live in NC now little rust here and there but nothing compared to the snowy wastelands of western NY.

Center caps will come if possible (i don’t see why they wouldn’t be). If we had a second gen I’d be on some Prelude 5 star’s all day.

Fyi that’s a first gen. But not too far off, they look really similar. And whoooeeee I’d rock that CR-V with those Prelude wheels.

Thats what I’m going for. I have a history of this. Can’t find a good pic without digging. Mustang rims on my tempo as a kid, 350z rims on my maxima, and the maxima in front on this pic was rocking Infinity wheels.

It’s a very stealthy OEM+ or top trim level change. I like it a lot.

To be honest the Maxima looked pretty good but god were those some heavy wheels. Prob wasn’t the best idea on that one (one burnt clutch later).

What about the Explorer steelies? I think those would look great, a bit more interesting than the Acura wheels.

Although the Acura ones really too look OEM and fit right, too.

The center bore turned out to be a problem. I miss read it and thought it was bigger in that case you just buy a simple reducer but the honda is 64.1 and the fords were like 56 or something so I would have had to run spacers and I’m not willing to run those for safety reasons (mostly my wife and kids in this thing daily). I really liked those and was totally bummed out that they wouldn’t work. But on the other hand I actually kind of like the idea of keeping it looking oem.
